Description

The 2021 farm cash receipts for the district totaled $24.15 million, with $4 million fruit & vegetable production, and $3.8 million in cattle and calves. In 2021, Algoma yielded an average of 1.2 tons per acre of hay, 149 bushels per acre grain corn and 18 ton per acre of fodder corn.

Strawberries and sweet corn are the top fruit & vegetable produced. Hay is the most common field crop, followed by corn and oats.
