About The City of Temiskaming Shores

The City of Temiskaming Shores (formerly the Town of Haileybury, New Liskeard and the Township of Dymond), one of the most picturesque and attractive communities in Northern Ontario, is an amalgamated municipality with a population of 9,920, poised to embrace the future. Because of the strong agricultural base, the area's economy has been able to avoid the boom and bust cycle of other northern communities that relied on the mining and forestry industries, and has become the economic and service hub community that it is today.
